Webflow Apps - What the hell are these things?

Before we get into the details, let's take a look at what these apps are in the first place. Think of them as the special ingredients in your favorite dish. They give your Webflow project that extra kick - and the best part is, you don't have to write complicated code to do it. With these tools, you can add features as if you were waving a magic wand.

The best things in life are sometimes free

And we sure as hell like that!
Webflow offers us a selection of free apps that are a long-awaited gift. You can effortlessly integrate them into your projects. From seamless CRM integrations to Worflow automation, it's all just a click away.
The apps don't come from Webflow itself, but are provided by third parties like Finsweet or HubSpot. Do you know what that means? Exactly! This means that users can develop tools independently from Webflow and improve the program where needed. This is not only good for us developers, but opens a new market.

Installation is a breeze

Dear coleg:in, forget about the times when you spent hours tweaking code. Thanks to Webflow apps, installation is a breeze. Click, paste and go. Now we have more time for what really matters - creative expression and clean work.

And here, because we are what we are, namely nice and accommodating, we have nevertheless prepared a guide for our fellow developers:

1. Visit the Webflow Apps library.
2. Choose an app that interests you.
3. Click on "Add to page".
4. Select the website you want to add the app to.
5. Click on "Authorize application".
6. If necessary, follow the app's instructions to integrate it with your website.

This is how you then use an app in Designer:

1. Open the app panel.
2. Hover over the app you want to open.
3. Click on "Start".

So why would you still rely on the experts aka Wagemut ?

We know for sure that the first ones among you have a grin on their face #moneysaving, but as sorry as we are, this doesn't mean that you don't need experts aka us for the development via Webflow anymore. The best example at this point is the creation of tables, because that was a huge pain not only for us.
- Our dev department can certainly sing you a song about it.

Now, this otherwise very time-consuming coding act becomes child's play for us thanks to the Finsweet Table App. The emphasis is still on "for us", because the apps only help if you are familiar with the subject matter and have a certain basic knowledge of the Webflow way of working and know how to use it. Once the structure is in place, even hobby designers and developers have almost no limits when it comes to managing their own website.

"Yeah well, what's in it for me now as the end customer?"

Quite simply, because the apps allow us to work more efficiently and incorporate elements that would otherwise have been a huge barrel to open, we can now offer you so much more. Less time is spent in development, so there's more time to give your website a stunning design (which we're already doing, just imagine it even better). On top of that, the apps give us tools to build even better and smoother features on your websites and so the limit of what is possible is even further away than it already was for us.

In a nutshell: As an end user you will only benefit from this upgrade. More time for design, better options in back- and frontend and the list goes on.
